Description

The North face of the Charvet is mostly an impenetrable cliff apart from the Pisteurs couloir.

This super classic route is reserved for skiers experienced in steep committing terrain.

From the Grand Pre chairlift, you hike up the ridge to the top of the Rocher de Charvet.

There is a way in via the large slope suspended above the rocks but it can be avalanche prone and it is usually best to access the couloir directly from the top.

Follow the couloir until around halfway down when you can choose a few different ways out to the open slopes below.

You can continue straight down the fall-line to the Santons piste or traverse hard skiers right at the bottom of the couloir to join the routes under the East face of the Charvet.
