Description

Staircase is a steep extreme limits run down to the bottom of the North Face.

A local's favorite, Staircase runs from the top of Rock and Roll Glades and Sun Steps down to the bottom of the North Face and the Exit Trail to Black Eagle and East River Lift.

It is gnarly enough that it sometimes serves as part of the venue for Freeride World Qualifier competitions when snow conditions permit.

If you get to Staircase and it is too spicy, traverse right to Dead Bob's Chute (an unmarked tree chute) that is tame relative to the terrain around it.

At the bottom, exit left for the traverse to East River.
