Description

Lookout is a mellow chute that descends from the top of Third Bowl down into the Phoenix Bowl.

Skiers descend the chute below the large Lookout Cliffs, which make for a spectacular backdrop while skiing.

The rope to the skier's right separates Lookout from the usually closed Moosehead area.

Access lookout from a gate on the skier's left rope line of Close Call in upper Third Bowl.

It is a hard one to time right, but when you get it with powder Lookout is a spectacular run.

If you're in a good snow year, Ski Patrol might open the upper gate to Lookout, which is a ridiculous hanging chute over large exposure.

If this is open make sure you are confident in your turns as there is no easy way out if you get held up over a rock, the choke can have a mandatory 5-10 foot air in it.
