Experience the diversity of the Spessart on this circular hiking trail Nuff un Rapp.

As it goes up and down (as the title Nuff and Rappschon says), you will find places with wonderful views, hike through the fairytale Spessart forest and get to know cultural highlights.

The circular trail around Mespelbrunn leads us along the Julius-Echterweg to the barrier-free water treading facility at the Gänsbrunnen.

At this especially beautifully designed water treading facility you can offer your feet a cool cooling.

We continue to the pilgrimage church in the OT Hessenthal.

Already from the street you can see the church castle with its three places of worship: the Chapel of Grace, the old pilgrimage church and the large, new pilgrimage church, which is still the destination of numerous pilgrimages.

After visiting the pilgrimage church, the trail now leads to the Herrenbild chapel with a magnificent view (up to the Maria Schnee basilica at the Mespelbrunn moated castle).

Now it goes through the Spessart forest back to Mespelbrunn and to the moated castle Mespelbrunn.

The castle was built in the Renaissance style and celebrated its 600th anniversary in 2012.

It became known as the location of the Wirtshaus im Spessart with Liselotte Pulver and Carlos Thompson as well as the setting for the play of the same name.

Due to its hidden location, the castle survived all wars undamaged and has been preserved in its original form.

From the castle we continue along the Julius Echter Weg back to the starting point.
