Description

The destination of the hike is the pilgrimage church Frauenbrünnl.

Starting point is the tourist information in Kirchdorf i.

Wald.

From here you walk north through the village and along fields and meadows via the village of Grünbichl to the B85 main road, which you follow for a short distance before climbing through the forest up to Ochsenberg.

Shortly after the village you leave the paved paths and follow a narrow forest path up to Einsiederhof Danzeröd.

Here, at the highest point of the hike, a magnificent view of the Bavarian Forest rewards the efforts of the ascent.

The route now mostly runs along relatively flat, idyllic forest paths until it reaches its destination.

The Frauenbrünnl pilgrimage church is one of the oldest chapels in the Bavarian Forest.

The last part of the hike leads downhill along a path of the cross, and the last part of the hike takes you downhill along the way.

The hike ends at the car park on the road to Gehmannsberg.

Conclusion: An easy to master hiking trail to a historic building.
