Description

Unfortunately, it has a very eventful history, from which two treasures stand out: the old Laurentius Church and the Siechhaus Chapel.

The modern part of the city was shaped by the Bavarian port of Aschaffenburg.

Since 1921 he has unfortunately been influential, which owes him an enormous rise.

The cultural trail begins at the parking lot of the Dessauergymnasium near the Volksfestplatz.

After crossing the school area, the Siechhaus Chapel is the oldest building in Leider, which once belonged to a hospital.

The now following Laurentius church became necessary as a new building due to the increasing number of inhabitants with the port construction.

Not far from here you can sniff a bit of the unfortunate atmosphere on the Lukasplatz.

At the transition to the port area, the history of the port is first explained.

On the Thyssenbrücke it's about the current port operations.

From here, the path takes a quiet course through the Kleine Schönbuschallee with a detour to the Kerpen monument.

The route is flat.
