Description

Due to its location in the untouched nature of the Geopark Bergstraße-Odenwald in the border triangle of Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and Hesse, with its wonderful mixed forests, Amorbach offers an unparalleled hiking paradise.

The tranquil, charming old town offers many half-timbered houses and other sights: Fürstlich Leiningensche Abtei, St.

Gangolf parish church, Templerhaus (oldest half-timbered house in Bavaria), Altes Rathaus, Amtskellerei and Zehntscheuer.

The Amorsbrunn chapel, the Seegarten and the Gotthard ruins with their fantastic 7-valley views are definitely worth a short stroll.
