Description

The starting point of the hike is the village chapel in Gehmannsberg near Rinchnach.

From here we first go in an easterly direction through the village.

Following hiking trail no.

4, you then turn off on a gravel path towards Hochwald, past meadows and fields, the path leads into the butt Rinchnach forest.

After the Riedstein you have the opportunity to visit the Riedstein chapel before reaching the hamlet of Dürrnau.

The way back leads left on a forest path and then on a path to the hamlet of Danzeröd with its two houses.

The view of the Bavarian Forest is particularly beautiful here.

Through the Kohlauer Wald one finally arrives at a particularly idyllically situated gem: the Frauenbrünnl pilgrimage church, built in 1766.

A large viewing platform directly above the church offers a wonderful view in south-west direction to Rinchnach, Kirchberg, Weißenstein and Regen.

The stepped path down along the granite stations of the cross leads to the road to Gehmannsberg.

However, the tour leads below the Frauenbrünnl through the forest, across the meadows and back to the starting point at Gehmannsberg.

Conclusion: An easy hiking route through meadows, forest and past some chapels.
