Description

The EON-Bayern-Trail of the Nordic Aktiv Zentrum Arberland is probably best suited for a short, crisp training session.

At 4.2 km, the route, which is classified as moderately difficult, is relatively short, but still offers an ascent of 210 metres.

The route is quite simple: from the start at the gondola lift, apart from the slight ascent immediately after the start, the route is rather flat on a gravel path towards the Rotkreuzhang.

When you arrive at the valley station, the road turns left and becomes very steep.

Still on gravel one follows the ski slope up to the Sonnenfelsen, after which the route is named.

At this highest point of the route you have climbed about half of the Arber ski slope and from here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the summit.

The descent leads back the same way before turning right and returning directly to the starting point.
