Description

This terrain is not monitored by ski patrol so ride at your own risk! The traverse is technical and tight with some cliff exposure.

If this doesn’t alarm you then you belong here.

From the Royal Elk outbound gate, follow the traverse through dense trees until a tree chute appears.

Descend 3-4 turns and continue to traverse left until you reach the ridge line.

You will see the upper chute entrance ahead, which rolls into a steep open bowl face.

The other option is to follow the tight ridge line down past the hut.

The trail swoops down (maintain speed) and then up an aspect that accesses the lower chutes.

Nice views reward those who can find this aspect.

Left of the aspect, drop into the Alta open bowl between two rock ledges.

Right of the aspect, drop into King Arthur below on the right side of the ridge.
