Description

This hike is 4,5 kilometers – but don´t let the length fool you.

It’s a steep hike and takes approximately 2 hours.

Haddelandsveien goes from Rjukan Center at the upper west end in Skriugata and Gvepseborg.

From Gvepseborg you can take the Krossobanen or walk Ryes way down to Krosso.

Otherwise, you can continue on to Hardangervidda towards Helberghytta and Kalhovd.

The lower part of Haddelandsveien is a steep path up the hill from the center of Rjukan, with fantastic views of Rjukan and Gaustatoppen. Get here: By bus the closest stop is Rjukan Senter and Rjukan Politstaston.

By car there is street parking in the center of Rjukan.

Krossobanen has a large car park at Krosso (lower station at Krossobanen).
