Veit an der Glan is the starting point of this tour.

Visit also the museum St.

Veit and enjoy the flair of the old town.

The route leads past the station to the R7 "Friesacherweg", which you follow south through the railway underpass.

After crossing the Völkermarkter Straße on traffic-calmed settlement roads, you will reach the almost continuously developed cycle path up to Klagenfurt.

You can also cycle past the energy scene indoor swimming pool.

The tour now leaves the built-up area of St.

Veit an der Glan and leads mostly parallel to the Glan through meadows and fields.

In Altglandorf turn left onto the R5 "Glan-Gurk Radweg" and follow the main road for a short distance before turning left to the energy scene Sonnenpark Untermühlbach - a short detour from the route is worthwhile! It goes slightly uphill through a small valley - the impressive castle Hochosterwitz is directly approached.

Attention: The next 5 km to Brückl are on the busy main road! In Brückl, turn right at the roundabout and soon after, after the chemical factory, turn left again.

After a short stretch on the main road you turn right - it follows a particularly scenic section.

Through the Carinthian "Valley of the Kings", with its historic burial mounds around Waisenberg on the left side of the cycle route, you will reach St.

Keep left here and you will reach Völkermarkt on the side road and under the motorway.

The official route leads around Völkermarkt, individually you can also drive through the village.

It goes downhill - through a small valley the route leads directly to the Völkermarkt reservoir.

A relaxing excursion with the Drauschifffahrt is certainly the right thing with enough time! Along the lake we take the R1 "Drauradweg" to the beautiful bike rest area at the beginning of the bridge.

The lake invites you to rest and swim! Cross the bridge and take the R1E "Seeberg Radweg" to the official end of the tour - Völkermarkt-Kühnsdorf railway station.
