Analysing terrain data
As far skier's right has you can go, "OTR" as it's known by the locals boasts some of the steepest in bounds terrain in Colorado.
There is no snowmaking operation over here, which usually means a later opening for this terrain while waiting for the snowpack and patrollers to do their thing.
Throughout the season it's generally peppered top to bottom with Volkswagen Bug sized moguls, and depending on the snowpack numerous small drops and rocky outcrops, while the trees on either side boast steep, hidden stashes days after a storm.
Also hiding in plain sight in the trees near the bottom is the famous 30+ cliff drop dubbed "Mr.
Rock." Skiers and Riders should start the traverse back at least 100 feet before the run ends unless planning on skiing right back to the car.
Don't be tempted to duck out of bounds for those sweet looking chutes known as the Sisters, as they come with a hefty fine not to mention possible jail time.
