On Sunday, July 7, 2019 the 11th edition of the RAD-MARATHON Tannheimer Tal will take place. The 92 kilometre route leads from Tannheim via Grän to Pfronten in the Allgäu and on via Reutte to the Lechtal nature park region to Elmen and back along the Lech over the Gaichtpass to the Tannheimer Tal.

Description

From the start in the centre of Tannheim to Grän, then downhill to Pfronten in the Ostallgäu and back to Tyrol.

Through the small town of Vils, on to Musau and in the middle of the Lechauen to Lechaschau.

Turn right at the church onto the B198 towards Weißenbach am Lech, where the first catering station is waiting 40 kilometres later.

From the Johannesbrücke through the Schwarzwasser to Vorderhornbach to the second catering station after 54 kilometres.

InMartinau, turn right onto the cycle path, continue over the Klimmbrücke bridge into the village of Elmen and then onto the B198 again, continue through Stanzach to Weißenbach.

After the third catering station at kilometer 69 enter the roundabout, direction Tannheimer Tal and over the Gaichtpass along the B199, past the enchanting Haldensee, back to the starting point after Tannheim.

Directions: Start in Tannheim, Rossberg, Sägerklause in the direction of the village centre to the church, continue through the underpass and direction Innergschwend to Grän/Lumberg.

There turn left onto the L261 through the Engetal downhill to Pfronten until you reach the main road in Pfronten Steinach.

Turn right there and follow the signs to Vils/Reutte.

After crossing the border through the small town of Vils and continue to Stegen and turn right onto the L69 towards Musau, after Roßschläg/Bärenfalle onto the cycle path towards Oberletzten (motor vehicle driving ban) and in the middle of the Lechauen to Lechaschau.

Turn right before the church onto the B198 and through Höfen to Weißenbach am Lech.

There at the roundabout straight ahead into the Lechtal where after 40 km already the first catering station is waiting.

Continue in the direction of Lechtal, before shortly before the Johannisbrücke bridge turn right onto the cycle path into the Schwarzwasser (motor vehicle driving ban).

The one-lane road climbs slightly there and leads into the forest, where the cycle path leads along the river Lech.

Wonderful scenic impressions and a diversified road guidance up to Stanzach, where the cycle path is left again and the village Vorderhornbach (2nd catering station after 54 km) is crossed.

Continue to Martinau, then turn right onto the cycle path towards Klimmbrücke near Elmen and through the underpass and then onto the B198, continue through Stanzach to Weißenbach.

After 73 km, the third catering station on the route is waiting there.

Then continue to the roundabout, turn left towards the Tannheimer Tal on the B199 and over the Gaichtpass along the picturesque Haldensee back to the starting point in Tannheim.tip of the author: Every participant from the age of 18 (adult) is eligible to start.

Participants aged 16 and over can take part in the 131 km distance accompanied by their parents or with the consent of their legal guardian.

Participants aged 12 and over can participate in the 92 km distance accompanied by their parents or legal guardian with the consent of their parent or legal guardian.

Participation is at your own risk! In addition, each participant declares to release the organizer from all civil and criminal liability for personal injury and/or damage to property caused or suffered by the participant.

The participant declares that he/she has trained sufficiently for the "Rad-Marathon Tannheimer Tal", that he/she is physically healthy and that his/her state of health has been confirmed by a doctor.

The organizer is entitled to shorten the course and change the time limit in case of bad weather or other unforeseen events.In case of danger, it is also possible that the event may be cancelled or aborted by the authorities.

The organisers may remove participants from the competition who do not follow the instructions.Safety instructions: It should be noted that there may be an increased risk of accident and injury in racing cycling.

Despite careful route planning, a basic risk always remains.

A tour preparation by endurance sport, appropriate training and advanced training as well as personal circumspection reduces the risk of accidents and the risks.
