Description

Shale Slope is the (usually) tracked out looking slope you can see from the Roundhouse, looking right.

This run is a Whistler classic and many fight for the privilege to lay turns on it once the Peak Express opens on a powder day.

The powder here doesn't stay untracked for long! To access, you'll ski the main area of Whistler Bowl and head skier's right.

Shale Slope is well signed and from there the signs will lead you to the goods.

The front side is extremely visible from the Peak Express (and the base - including the most likely long lift line on a powder day) - all eyes are on you on this one, so make your tracks look good! A steep and wide open finale to your journey up in the Peak zone, you most likely won't find yourself alone here, but it is a popular spot for good reason.

Shale Slope drops you right at the base of the Peak Express so you can immediately head back up for more! A can't miss spot on a powder day.
