Of the panoramic mountains around Ebensee, the Eibenberg is one of the most outstanding. Once you arrive at the top, you have a fantastic view of the Traunsee, which lies 1000 metres below, and to the right, the Offensee glistens up.

Description

Starting point is a parking lot, approx.

2 km before the Offensee situated.

Immediately on the left side of the road, a path branches off into the forest.

The path first leads through a mixed forest until you reach the hunting lodge Hiaslalm (not farmed!).

At the alp the path continues to the left of the hut.

Now it gets steeper and steeper, partly the path is serpentine, partly you have to stop at the steps of a rock, but for experienced hikers no problem.

Then you reach the point on the "Eibenbergschneid", where the Offensee ascent crosses with the Rindbach ascent.

The last part runs right directly on the ridge to the northeast up to the worth seeing summit cross.
