Description

Hike around three pristine alpine lakes, Larx Grizzly and Rocky Isle in an unreal setting of emerald forests, wildflower meadows and the iconic Canadian Rockies.

There are a couple of viewing platforms along the route which give you fantastic 360 views far out across the majestic big mountain landscapes. To begin the hike, take the gondola from Sunshine Ski hill in Sunshine Village to the Sunshine meadows area.

You are brought up to an elevation of 2400m, high up in the mountains and feeling very far from the built up world below.

Fragrant larch forests, rare alpine lichen and vibrant wildflowers make this hike not just an exploration of landscapes but a journey for the senses.

After you have completed the figure of 8 loop around the three lakes, make your way back to the gondola from which you came up. **Sources** https://www.10adventures.com/hikes/banff/sunshine-meadows-rock-isle-grizzly-and-larix-lake/ https://www.banffsunshinemeadows.com/
