FATMAP difficulty grade
This chute is just to the north of North Chute 1 off the false summit of Mt Russell.
It is slightly steeper and narrower than North Chute 1.
The top rolls over a bit, but it is not too difficult to see down the line if you approach via one of the rock outcrops on either side of the chute.
It has a decent pitch and long runout.
The wind can often load or strip snow in this area, so be aware of what the recent weather has been like both for avalanche concerns and snow quality.
It is not uncommon for one side of the chute to have deep wind loaded snow while the other side is thin and firm.
