Description

The hike on the Heiligenstein offers not only a magnificent panorama of Gaflenz and the peaks of Almkogel, Bodenwies, Gesäuseberge and Haller Mauern, but also leads to a traditional pilgrimage site, the only Sebaldus Church in Austria.

Theme trail: At several stations in and around the church, visitors can obtain information about the history of the mountain shrine, its significance as a place of pilgrimage and the work of Saint Sebald.

Today the snack station is housed in the so-called Mesnerhaus.

On weekends and holidays from May to October guests are spoiled with regional specialities and homemade pastries.
