Description

A hike of a special kind awaits you in Hochwolkersdorf.

There you can discover the Janetschek Trail.

The writer and poet Albert Janetschek was born in Hochwolkersdorf and the path was built to commemorate his 80th birthday.

At eight stations the hikers learn more about his life here.

The walk is about four kilometres long and captivates at its highlights with a fantastic view over the Bucklige Welt to Hochwechsel, Semmering, Rax and Schneeberg.

The starting point of the hike is in the village or at the Gasthaus Furthof, from where you can enjoy the beautiful, extensive country lanes and streets with idyllic surroundings.

A special highlight is Station Five, the Lustriegel, which promises an unforgettable view both far and wide.

At the end of the hike, the Gasthof zur Gem├╝tlichkeit in the heart of the village invites you to stop for a bite to eat.
