Starting point of the last stage is the tourist office Hinterstoder (Alpineum), from where you first walk through the local area of Hinterstoder.
At the tennis hall you change to the Flötzersteig.
After a short time you reach the turnoff to the Kreidehöhle (Cretaceous Cave), along the Steyr the footpath leads to the mighty waterfall, the Stromboding.
Further downstream the Kalkalpenweg leaves the banks of the Steyr and navigates you above meadows and a village road to Flötzerstubn.
This is in turn a cosy place to stop for a rest or a refreshment.
The path leads through the Salmeranger back to the Steyr, which accompanies the hiker to the Steyr bridge.
When you arrive at the Steyrbrücke bridge, there is not only an inn, but also Europe's unique poacher museum, the Hinterstoder railway station and the "Nationalparkrast" (motorway rest stop on the A9).
