Description

Ballroom 2 is another option off the bootpack hike.

It starts out in the trees, then opens up to a cornice that builds up by mid winter.

The line then goes back to tight steep trees, and usually skis very well as it is protected from the wind.

The wind also deposit snow in these trees.

The run will eventually get very tight and it will dump you back out to the Ballroom traverse.

Keep in mind this area is NOT controlled.
