Description

From the Scheiblingau car park, follow the gravel road for about 1.5 kilometres into the Bodinggraben, one of the most beautiful valleys of the Eastern Alps.

The valley opens up in the Bodinggraben and the picturesquely situated building ensemble of the former counts Lamberg with the managed Jagahäusl, the Adjunktestöckl, the Rosaliakapelle and the Forsthaus Bodinggraben welcomes the surprised visitor.

Pass the Jagahäusl and ride about 200 metres to the Schwarzgraben car park, where you turn left into the uphill forest road towards Steyrsteg/Windischgarsten.

After about 3 kilometres you will see the "Steyrsteg", a narrow path.

After that you come to the Steyrsteg bivouac site, a good resting place.

Weter you go along the Rumpelmayerbach slightly uphill to the Haslersgatter at 1154 m altitude and downhill to Windischgarsten.
