Beautiful via ferrata over the Hüttschlager wall, but relatively long and very exhausting.

Description

Directly from Hüttschlag you follow a hiking trail to the start of the Franzl via ferrata.

You can reach it in only 20 minutes.

It was built in 2012.

The "Franzl-Steig", named after its builder Richard FRANZL, who is known in the climbing scene for numerous unique climbs in the Alpine region, including the legendary "Königsjodler" on the Hochkönig, is a very demanding, long climb that requires absolute freedom from vertigo.

First we go along the practice via ferrata "http://alpregio.outdooractive.com/ar-grossarltal/de/alpregio.jsp#i=2808333&tab=TourTab "Gletschergoas.

After this you should absolutely treat yourself to a rest on the bench with its beautiful views.

Then "Franzl" leads almost vertically over the Hüttschlager wall.

A total of 210 metres of altitude have to be climbed.

Lots of strength and endurance are required to dumb down over the slightly overhanging plate zone.

But the view up here is simply unique. A beautiful hiking trail leads into the valley. For all not so experienced climbers there is the practice climbing route Gletschergoas.
