The Hochjoch- and Sennigrat Railway will take you up the mountain.
From there follow the signs to the via ferrata at the foot of Schwarzsee. From the entrance, you climb the continuous steel rope up to the summit of the Hochjoch.
On two plates you have to prove your strength and stamina (difficulty C).
The highlight of this via ferrata is the 60 meter long and spectacular rope suspension bridge, just before the summit cross.
If you don't dare to cross the rope bridge, you can also bypass it safely as an alternative. The descent takes place over the Hochalpila ridge (difficulty B).
From here you have a breathtaking view over the three mountain ranges Rätikon, Verwall and Silvretta as well as over the three mountain lakes Herz-, Kälber- and Schwarzsee.
The descent takes about 1 hour.
After this breathtaking mountain adventure on the rock, the Seetal hike follows a relaxed descent to Lake Kälbersee. Alternatively, you can hike to the Wormser Hütte and on to the Sennigrat Railway, which will take you back to the valley. Variant 2: Facts about the via ferrata: Start: Mountain station Hochalpila Bahn Duration via ferrata: 3 hours Length: 750 meters Rope length Height difference: 100 Level of difficulty B Exposure: south-southwest It takes about 1.5 hours to climb the slightly easier version of the Hochjoch via ferrata.
The Hochjoch- and Sennigrat Railway take you up the mountain.
The entrance is located at the Hochalpila cable car mountain station, which you reach in approx.
40 minutes from the Kälbersee.
Simply follow the signs from Kälbersee in the direction of Wormser Hütte and continue to Hochalpila Bahn mountain station.
If you already have a via ferrata set, go directly from the Sennigrat mountain station to the Wormserhütte hut and on to the Hochalpila mountain station. The climb over the Hochalpila ridge (difficulty B) lets your gaze wander into the Silvretta, Rätikon and Verwall mountains.
Climb to the summit cross of the Hochjoch on the secured steel rope.
At the end of the tightrope walk you have two options.
Either you walk directly to the summit cross and back over the same ridge path or you walk down to the spectacular 60 meter long rope suspension bridge and then back over the ridge you came over.
Watch your step! Please do not descend via the via ferrata Hochjoch variant 1 (difficulty level C)! The descent takes about 1 hour.
After this breathtaking mountain adventure on the rock follows the Seetalwanderung - hiking route 4 - relaxed downhill to the Kälbersee. Alternatively, you can return to the Wormser Hütte and continue to the Sennigrat cable car, which will take you back to the valley.
