Description

When looking at the west side from the parking lot, one of the most prominent and noticable features is a large cliff feature called Gaffney's (named after the legendary skier brothers).

Along with Triple Rock, Gaffney's is a sort of a right of passage amongst Berthoud Pass cliff jumpers.

This cliff feature sits on a rib between Rush Chute and Lift Gulley, and is above and to skier's left of Shelf Rock. There are several ways one can approach Gaffney's.

All of them involve a significant amount of air.

Depending on the location and speed with which you jump, you can expect anywhere from 20-60 feet of air.
