Description

The Finel is consistently one of the resort's best runs, offering several alternative routes that could keep you busy for a whole morning.

It usually possesses some of the best snow in Mürren, especially when freshly groomed first thing in the morning. There are two start points to the run, with one coming off the Gimmeln blue run - but this entry skips out the fun top section.

Therefore, head to the corner at the end of the Hindenburg's top section and drop off the right down an undulating and surprisingly steep face that sweeps you around to the right.

Next up is another steep pitch that does catch the sun so it can become slightly cut up and slushy.

At the bottom of this, head left along a flat section before you reach the trees and have the village of Mürren in your sight ahead.

There are now two options to take you down to the Schiltgrat lift: For a slightly easier route, bear left and traverse your way along a cat track to the Hindenburg, but in good snow conditions it is well worth staying right and motoring straight down to the lift.

If there is fresh snow then there are numerous options through the trees on either side of the run, with some great little dropoffs to be hit as well.
