Description

Definitely add this run to your sequence on a powder day at Snowbasin.

Deep snow and very little traffic make this a required run on any given day there.

This run is recommended only for advanced or expert skiers.

You can access this run off of Middle Bowl Chair or Needles Gondola.

After exiting the lift/gondola pick your way down Strawberry Traverse, Fro-Zone, or Pork Barrel until you meet up with Porcupine Traverse.

Follow the groomer until you hit the intersection with Middle Bowl Traverse.

Take a right and immediately take a left off the the traverse towards the hills and trees that will be downhill from you.

Stay left and, unless you are the first person down the mountain, there will be a boot pack up the taller hill on your left.

Take your skis off, as the hike will go much faster without them on.

Hike up into the trees until you hit the ridge of the hill.

After emerging from the trees you will be greeted with some deep snow and fresh lines! Put your skis on and pick your line.

You can head left up the ridge to give your self two or three more turns in the fluffy white stuff and you can access "119 + 2" from the very tip.

This run meets up with 119 which will take you to either Middle Bowl, Wildcat, or Needles Gondola at the base area.

119 + 1 is best during mid-season when the coverage is good.

There is some risk of hitting rocks during the early and late seasons.

Please do yourself a favor and ski this run on a powder day.

It may very well be the best 10 turns you'll take at Snowbasin! Also, did I mention that there are consistently fresh lines throughout the whole day? There is no avalanche danger as Ski Patrol bombs this run daily.

Please take note of any posted signs!
