Description

Sick of all the constant flow in the Diamond Head area? Add some tech to your day with a high-speed rip straight down the mountainside on Angry Midget! Many local riders consider Angry Midget to be the best black diamond trail in the Squamish area.

Tucked away deep beneath the forest canopy, advanced riders can't get enough of the dark black dirt on this gnarly fall line singletrack trail.  Where the nearby flow trails of Half Nelson and Full Nelson wind slowly down the mountain, maximizing the descent by running back and forth across the mountain's flanks, Angry Midget plunges straight down the mountainside.

Be prepared for steep (but manageable) pitches that funnel into ledge drops, webs of roots, and chunky rock gardens. Over the years of use, the trail tread has widened, allowing you to choose your level of challenge as you ride.

Some drop lines may require serious air time, but there's always a smaller drop option or a rollable line.  In places, little kickers off of carved roots and tree stumps lead to massive hang time for expert-level riders stepping down to a downslope landing far below.

If you spot a jump option, be sure to scope it before you send.

The Squamish locals are some of the best mountain bikers in the world, which means you'll find some seriously massive optional hits on these trails. Still looking for more tech after Angry Midget? Head to Ditch Pig next!
