Description

Lower Broadway is a wide open powder field that is located right at the top of the peak 9 access road, and drops into Windows #6 and Windows #7.

This run typically has very reliable soft snow, as it is very high alpine and faces almost directly north.

A good way to judge the depth of the snow, and which route to take out, is by looking at how much snow sits on top of the rocks next to the boundary sign.

If the rocks are bare and snow is firm, it could be an indicator that the snow is wind blown and firm in places.

The more variable the snow, the farther right you should stay on the way out, which will put you right into windows #6.

About a 30 minute hike, this run is well worth the effort on the right snow day, and leads you directly back to chair E.
