Description

The Dents du Midi is an unusual multi-summited mountain of the Chablais Alps in the Swiss canton of Valais.

It has not one, but 7 3000er summits stretching over 3km in width, and the Haute Cime is the highest of them all at 3257m.

Ascend from the southern ridge, enjoying spectacular views of the Mont Blanc Massif, the Bernese Alps and Valais’ many 4000er peaks from the summit.

Descend to the lac de Salanfe, an artificial reservoir, and head east around the lakeside to the Auberge de Salanfe, where you can choose between a dorm or private room.
