Description

Pioneer leads out through the trees, and is the run to which most of the skiers or boarders from 10th Mountain or Blueslip Bowl follow on the way out back down towards Pioneer Lift.

This run is commonly found ungroomed, and is relatively steep but really acts as a closure to the runs above it.

One can find moguls on this run, which acts as a great place to test your skills and get to know how to tackle them.

This run can be fairly icy if there hasn't been much snow, so keep that in mind when you tackle it, yet is a great first black run to tackle whilst improving from intermediate terrain to advanced.

For those who are already advanced, I would suggest Thaynes over this run, simply as it is less busy and gives a more enjoyable run on the way down.
