Description

Don't be deceived by the depiction of the run on the trail map as a normal trail; most closely resembling a nordic skiing track with ups, downs and flats.

It serves a dual purpose of indicating the end of the ski area boundary, and making it a way shorter hike back to the main resort.

When navigating the Huckleberry gates, keep your eyes peeled for this, as it's also a good way of orienting your route.

Realistically, going beyond the cat track means a long walk out, so not really worth the effort of seeing what's beyond.

Because of the nature of the run, go as fast as you can, and look out for the occasional branch sticking out mid run.

One final note would be to look out for the cut just before the very end to skiers right from this trail back onto Castle.

Usually narrow and bumpy, it's especially good for snowboarders aiming to avoid a longer walk out.
