Description

The Bridger Peak North-east Ridge is a great option for a longer tour on a questionable avalanche danger day.

This line is certainly not immune to avalanches, but is certainly a better bet than center punching one of the main bowls.

This ridge provides you with about 1700 feet of vertical down to the flats below and the pitch is never more than 35 degrees.

The upper part of this run consists of very nicely spaced trees.

Skiers should take care to trend right, slightly against the fall line, for the best spacing of trees.

After about 800 feet, you break out into wide open meadows for the remainder of the descent.

Access Bridger Peak from the Southern boundary of Bridger Bowl.

Head south, staying on the ridge past Saddle Peak and the Pinnacles.

When the main ridge starts to head up towards Bridger Peak, head left.

The North-east Ridge is just skier's left of the North bowl of Bridger Peak.

To get back to Bridger Bowl, take the South Bridger skin track.
