Description

Having reached the summit of l'Ouillette from the top of the Cugnai chair, turn left along the ridge to the north.

This wide open high face with its northerly aspect often holds great snow long after a storm.

It's a lot of work for what only amounts to 200m vertical or so of skiing, but when the urge to ski powder is strong, this slope can be a nice tonic! The routes are obvious- skiers' left lines rejoin the red Cugnai piste whereas those to skiers' right meet the Saint Jaques blue that descends from the Glacier Express chair. Be careful as the slope is somewhat convex in nature, with few islands of safety, and large slides across the whole slope are not uncommon.
