Description

For this line the entry is the same as the one for the Halewand-Rinne.

This off-piste is not as narrow as the Halewand-Rinne, so it is good if you are not feeling confident enough. For this long line, there is also no hike required but just make sure you don't miss the entry. To reach this couloir, get up on top of Gaislachkogl with the “Gaislachkogl 2” gondola and then follow Slope number 1.

First comes a left turn (Gaislachkogl is now on your left side) then you reach a big curve to the right.

Immediately after the turn, the entry for this off-piste is on the left side.

If you feel safe and the conditions are good, drop in.

If it is a winter with barely any snow, check the line first for yourself from the Langegg chair. In front you will see a bowl, stay on the left side.

The bowl is a decision point.

Riding on the right side will take you down a different off-piste (Halewand-Rinne) so you need take the left one.

The entry is a little bit narrow and there are also some stones in the middle of the line.

After passing the bowl the face opens up, but you are still in a big bowl/couloir because on both sides there are big rocky walls of the mountain.

Make some turns and get confident.

Be careful of the bigger and smaller rocks that are in this line (depending on snow conditions there may be more or less.) That's the reason why it could be a good idea to check it out from Langegg chair first with some binoculars.

After passing some rocks there is a rocky ridge which divides the big couloir into two smaller exits.

Take the one with more snow and/or less tracks.

In the beginning of the season there might not be very much snow so check it first from Langegg chair with binoculars, otherwise you might need to get out of your bindings and climb down a few metres.

Get through one of the exits and then the face will open up.

Ride down the wide face and end up on slope number 30 in Rettenbachtal, the one which comes from the glacier.
