Description

Take either the Lac Intrets or Grande Combes chairlift and ski round to the northeast face of the Hauts Forts.

Take a high traverse out into the face to the foot of the Signal couloir (located well to the left of the Nant d'Ankerne couloir).

You will ascend and descend the couloir via the same route.

It is significantly more exposed and steeper than the Nant d'Ankerne, but it is an exciting and challenging line for the experienced steep skier.

There is a rocky ridge across the couloir that is sometimes impassable but you can be sure that your line will remain here for many days after you have skied it.

At the bottom of the couloir you can enjoy skiing the wide open slopes all the way down into the trees.

There are often many tracks in the lower half of the face that are easy to follow through the woods to reach the piste down to Prodains.
