Description

Punta Vittoria is one of the most difficult and most aesthetic line in Monte Rosa.

It's a very steep face that plunges into the Piode Glacier.

At the beginning a 60m rappel is required to start skiing the face.

the first section is an extremely steep traverse.

You need calm nerves to pass this part, staying attached to the slope, avoiding rocks and not falling into the abyss! The second part is a wide face at 45 degrees perfect for making big turns at full speed! Often this part is in good snow.

This line although beautiful is for specialists only! The face is extremely steep and every mistake could be fatal.

You'll be skinning up a glacier to reach the entrance which is not evident.

And at the end of your ride you'll be on a tricky glacier often with enormous open crevasses. Snow conditions must be super safe! Don't ride this line if it's windy or if the wind blew snow onto the slope!
