Description

Val Orita is a classic off-piste line in Monte Faloria and it is also suitable for beginners.

There is usually great powder snow in the winter and the corn snow is also enjoyable in the spring time.

The easy and classic drop-in is located at the Forcella Faloria.

Once you get to to the top of the ‘Tondi’ chairlift, take a left (usually there's a net you will need to cross) and traverse high under the rocky ridge in order to reach Forcella Faloria (which is just a few minutes from the chairlift).

The Faloria Pass drop in is easy (and south facing).

Ski down the open terrain keeping to the skier's right.

Continue (south-west facing) following a wide couloir in between rock bands and carry on down the last long slope where you can see the Boite Valley.

Keep right and once you reach the tree line do not take the straight line/couloir down as there is a rocky cliff! Ski through the forest on the right, following a mule track and ski all the way down the road towards Acquabona.

The bus stop right is in front of the Area 51 snack bar. All the other drop-in options are along the ridge in between the top of "Vitelli" chairlift and "Tondi" pommer lift.

The drop-in next to the top of "Tondi" pommer lift is also another easy classic entry.

Note: good snow cover is required especially for the lower part.
