Description

From the top of the Wixi chairlift runs, this is a great red run that can be worth lapping due to its varied terrain and the newly installed fast six man chairlift.

The top of the Wixi is at the start of the world famous Lauberhorn World Cup run, and Engi runs alongside this for the first 300 m before a sharp right brings you onto the narrow section of the Lauberhorn Rennstrecke.

Note the size of the nets on your left which give you an idea of how mad the downhill racers are! Following this narrow section you bear left where the run really opens up and is up to 50 m wide, allowing for carving or turns of your choice.

This slowly narrows through a pretty natural valley where late in the day and season moguls can start to form due to its sunny aspect.

You continue under the Wixi chairlift before approaching a newly installed bridge over the mountain railway, which allows for much easier crossing of the railway line than the old bridge afforded.

After the bridge there is more wide piste that allows for some high speed turns, but this can get icy as little sun reaches it during the depths of winter.

A last steeper pitch brings you down to the Wixi/Fallboden lift station, where the chair can whisk you back up for another high speed cruise!
