Description

Following the building of the Riggli lift, Mürren prepared a new blue piste so that beginners/intermediates can avoid the steep pitch of the Stellifluh piste.

The run starts at the top of the Muttleren chair with a flat cat track that requires a bit of skating.

Just to the left is the Schilthornhutte restaurant which offers great rustic Swiss food, with a spectacular backdrop of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains.

Just past the restaurant the slope heads downhill where it meets the Engetal piste (you can also join it from here if you're looking to access the runs off the Muttleren and Kandahar chairs).

Bear right down into a river valley that, thanks to snowmaking, is usually well filled in, to form a natural half pipe that is a blast if the run is empty.

The final section is wide but, due to its sunny location, in the afternoon the piste can become slushy, even at the height of winter.
