Description

The south-facing Gummi Süd run is one of the most important links in the resort, yet with no snowmaking installed as of yet it can suffer in the sunshine.

It is also quite steep so is not really suitable for beginners or less-confident intermediates - for you the best option is to head all the way down to Grund and then take the train up to Kleine Scheidegg.

From the top of the Läger lift (it can also be reached via the Tschuggen lift) bear right as if heading towards the Distelboden piste (#5) but continue right where two options await: The right hand one is slightly steeper, but its sunnier position can lead to some spring-snow bumps forming even in the middle of winter.

Thin patches can also appear, so be sure to heed any "closed" ropes as it is really not worth skiing down the run if closed - it is likely to be bare! The run finishes at the base of the Gummi chair, where you have the options of either heading over towards Kleine Scheidegg, or alternatively heading down through the trees towards the Tschuggen T-Bar.
