Description

Recent improvements in snowmaking have meant that the Mittelegg run now has top to bottom snowmaking.

This means that at most points in the season this run holds good snow, and its consistent gradient means that it is ideal for those wanting to move onto red runs.

The first section is steeper, before flattening out in the lower section.

This lower section along the line of a river valley has nice undulating sections and it is pretty through the trees and alpine meadows, with a great view across to Mürren.

However, the Fallboden chairlift is the slowest in the resort and on a cold day is worth avoiding as it takes over 10 minutes normally in the shade, so a loop involving the Wixi chairlift and then down to Eigernordwand may be advisable if you want to repeat this nice cruising run.
