Description

Most skiers using the Läger lift head down towards Männlichen via piste 3 or use piste 4 instead.

However they miss a trick, as the Distelboden run is great fun and usually deserted. From the top of Läger, hold your traverse towards Gummi for slightly longer than you would if using piste 4 and then bear left when directed by a sign (it should be pretty clear).

The first section usually maintains excellent snow and there are a couple of decent dropoffs waiting to be hit just to the sides of the run.

Follow this along until the slope really steepens into a big wide face that has an uphill runout - so be sure to pick up some speed here.

This pitch is probably slightly too steep for any skier below intermediate level, so an alternative route (probably piste 6) is recommended.

After this steep slope however, the run opens out into a mellow and gently rolling field which, after a few hundred metres, merges into blue run #6 for the run in back to the Läger lift.
