Description

This red from the top of the Lauberhorn chair starts with a relatively long and at times difficult path which traverses along the Lauberhorn ridge.

It is worth stopping off to get the stunning view of the mountains that make Wengen famous.

In good snow conditions there is often a more direct groomed route, which is accessed by turning left off the traversing path approximately 250 m from the Lauberhorn chairlift (this would be obvious from the chairlift).

The direct route is steeper but shorter and can give good short turn practice.

For the main route of the run you continue the traverse towards the top of the Wixi chairlift where this run can also be skied from. You bear left down a very wide section which is great for trying out some longer radius turns, before a relatively sharp left brings you round the corner towards Kleine Scheidegg; this steeper and narrower section can be icy so caution is advised.

From here a right opens up undulating and flatter terrain which is more deserving of blue run status, then past a kids area all the way back to the Lauberhorn lift.
