A twisty switch back tree lined run leading to the top of Arinsal town

This is a harder to find run in Arinsal, tucked away in the bottom corner of the resort near the El Refugi restaurant and the El Cortal 4 man chair lift.

At the start of the run there is a sweeping right bend with views of the Arinsal valley and the forest below.

The rest of the run follows a similar story with great gliding sections and some great tighter switch back turns mixed in with a bunch on loose faster turns.

This is a varied, interesting blue run which will keep all skiers entertained on the ride down, with the run leading its way through a vast alpine forest.

Les Marrades is a secret treasure and is usually quiet all day and can maintain great conditions all day as the sun is kept at bay by the high alpine trees and low traffic.

The only problem with this run is its width, if you see a ski school group heading down, give it 10 minutes.

Les Marades can be a difficult run to overtake on, especially with a large number of snowploughers in front.

Les Marrades can be a hidden gem on powder days, as is usually ungroomed and has great off piste little darts through the trees between each switch back turn.

The run continues down to a final steep blue pitch before arriving at the Crest Hotel and the Josep Serra 6 man chairlift.
