Description

Pyramid Lake is the name for the larger lake near Jasper, at the very bottom of Pyramid Mountain.

The lake reached on this hike is different.

It's a tarn tucked into a narrow basin on the mountain's north side.

You can get there by a long hike from Pyramid Lake, or by [biking the fire road](https://fatmap.com/routeid/1978112/Pyramid_Mountain_Approach) then hiking up the drainage.

Views from this lake are sublime and the place is never crowded.
