Description

Power Up is a quick, but necessary powder shot to add to your line from the top of the mountain to the bottom.

Five to eight solid powder shots await you on this often-missed run off the side of the Snowbasin Power Station.

This run is recommended for intermediate to advanced skiers as it is never groomed and the snow can be quite deep during storms.

There are multiple ways to access this in-bounds powder stash so choose whatever fits your needs.

After exiting either Needles Gondola or Middle Bowl Chair head on to Strawberry Traverse and follow the groom until you hit Dan's Run.

Stay on Dan's Run and enjoy some nice groomed rollers.

After the third roller you will notice a building on the left.

This is the Snowbasin Power Station and it is used to help run and maintain all of the machinery on the mountain.

Turn towards the station and head to it's left side.

Once you are on the left side of the building head straight until the pitch starts to get steeper.

This is the powder zone.

Pick your line and enjoy! This run is good on any given day at Snowbasin.

If there has been a storm recently then you need to definitely hit this powder stash on your way back down to the base area.

Guaranteed powder early in the morning.

During spring the coverage starts to thin out and you might see some bushes but the sun hits it perfectly allowing for some nice soft turns.

This run is open all season and has no avalanche danger as Ski Patrol tends to it daily.

Definitely add this line to your sequence as you lap Needles Gondola! Alternative access is similar to going off of Dan's Run.

This access is only applicable to expert skiers.

Follow Strawberry Traverse to Philpot Ridge and take the ridge all the way over until you can see Dan's Run and the Power Station below you on the left.

Choose your line off of the ridge on the North Aspect.

You will be treated to some great snow and little tracks but make sure you cut across to the Power Station on the uphill side otherwise you will miss the run.
