Description

The Blaze is a very popular summer skiing destination.

It holds snow all year most years and it gets skied mostly in the summer months from the Spanish creek trailhead.

This line can also be skied via a long tour out of Beehive or Bear Basins.

The line itself is about 35 degrees consistently for about 1300 feet, then rolls through small timber for another 700 feet or so.

Even late in the year, this line is about 50 feet wide, and can hold really nice corn.

Access via the Spanish creek trailhead is not advised in the winter due to the very long approach.

Once the road melts out, it is still about an 8 mile walk.

Coming from Beehive in the winter months, it is about 4.5 miles of up-downs to get to the top of Blaze Mountain.

Descend your approach route.
