Description

This is one possible ski route from the Meeting of the Waters trailhead, which is located at the end of Highway 93A.

The skiing is partially on the closed portion of the highway, and partially on a forest trail.

The entirety is groomed for both classic and skate.

On this loop you'll trace the bank of the Whirlpool River near its confluence with the Athabasca River, enjoying the sparkle of its frozen surface and snowy banks. This is a great trail to try cross-country skiing for the first time.

You can rent skis in the town of Jasper and drive here.

The trails are also open for hiking, snowshoeing, and fat biking.

All users should take care to stay in the respective tracks for each, so as not to damage the other tracks.
